Prerequisites & Audience

The engineer should have at least 1 year experience deploying and maintaining IP Office and have attained the AIPS accreditation in IP Office. Have experience with Avaya UC applications and preferably, installation experience of the Avaya Application Server. 

Course Objectives:

The objectives of this course are, to give students the ability to deploy and maintain an Avaya Server Edition Solution. As well as enhancing pre-sales knowledge. The student will gain a good understanding of the solution and can use the material to assist in their learning for future Avaya maintenance exams.

Course Topics:

Day 1

• Overview of Server Edition 
• License overview with PLDS LAC activation demo 
• Topology overview
• Overview or physical and virtual Server deployment
• Setup of Virtual Server Edition
• Ignition process 
• Adding a secondary server and IP500 Gateway
• Upgrading Servers to 10.1 

Day 2

• WebManager overview
• Setup basic system to system trunk
• Set up of resilience for handsets and testing failover
• Key configuration differences
• Configure UC Applications
• Test UC applications
• Server Edition Diagnostics
• Certificate generation (Avaya CA) 


• Server PCs are set-up as part of the Course             
• Attendees to bring their own laptops. A limited amount will be available for use if this is not possible. 
• Pens & Notepaper will be provided
• Lunch and refreshments will be provided each day
• Course start time is 9:30am estimated finish is 16:30pm
